The Comfort of Familiar Pain

A few months ago this new year, I noticed something mildly uncomfortable. A situation unfolded in a different setting, with different characters, yet it carried the same emotional residue..something oddly familiar. The kind of moment where you pause and think, “How did I land here again?”
